Marco A. Ramirez, an American citizen born in Guadalajara, Mexico, in 1963, has been around the music scene since 1970.

Studied Music and Gregorian Chant at Escuela de Música Sacra de Aguascalientes, classical guitar, and cello at Escuela de Música de la Universidad de Guadalajara. He played bass guitar professionally from 1982 till 2002.

His professional career in the Recording Industry started in 1985 in different recording studios in Guadalajara and Mexico City, working on post-production, editing, recording, mixing, and mastering.

He moved to El Paso, Texas, in 2000.

He is the Manager and Senior Engineer at the Sonic Ranch Recording complex (www.SonicRanch.com), one of today’s largest and more influential recording studios.

Also, he owns Britannia Road Studio (www.BritanniaRoadStudio.com), a first-class analog/digital hybrid Mixing and Mastering facility in San Elizario, TX.

He had worked on thousands of songs literately and from a diverse number of countries, ranging from the USA, Mexico, Canada, Italy, Russia, Japan, France, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Spain, Turkey, Cuba, Puerto Rico, etc., which made him a participant, so far, in 4 winners of  Latin Grammy awards albums and 12 more Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations for his work for mixing and mastering, besides other significant awards, like Album of the Year of The Soul Awards for mixing and several Latin Christian and American Christian awards for mastering and mixing as well.

His credits include some of the world’s known artists’ names and major record labels. Still, he is well-known for helping and developing emergent and independent artists and young audio engineers to fulfill their potential.

A long list of audio engineers benefited from Marco’s experience, counsel, and close watch; some have earned their own Grammy awards, making him very proud.

His other interests go from carpentry to vintage audio equipment repair.

He speaks English and Spanish.
